The Vintage Channel has been shown some love. It has a nice antique "sepia" look to it.

Thanks Lucky for helping this vintage sifter w/ the heavy lifting ;D

You're welcome, but I didn't do much. It's all your design and ideas. I just translated them into computer for you. You're the visionary.

What does everyone else think of the new, improved Vintage channel?

Lighten all the browns by 2 - 3 shades, swampy if you email me a higher quality version of that watch, i'll clean up the edges and make it a transparent png so it blends seemlessly with the background on the header.

Sorry, I am not a fan of typewriter mono-spaced fonts.

Sepia colors are a nice touch, though.

I browsed fonts, but since I don't have computer-fu..I didn't know what was available for me to choose.

I love the 30s and 40s and had an idea of marquee fonts or fonts like the lettering in old movie trailers like this: http://www.typophile.com/files/4.jpg

I tend to agree that the font isn't quite right. That font image you linked was quite good, but like yourself I wouldn't have the requisite knowledge to make it happen.

Swampgirl, I got out my Rookledge's International Type Finder: The Essential Handbook of Type Recognition by Christopher Perfect and Gordon Rookledge. Sorry, I didn't find it.

Here are some Serif Face suggestions:

Adobe Garamond
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/adobe-garamond/regular/

Goudy Old Style
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/goudy/old-style/

New Century Schoolbook
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/new-century-schoolbook/roman/

Times New Roman
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/times-new-roman/ps/

Since the small sizes seem hard to read, it might be necessary to use a San Serif font for the smaller sizes. Universe is another font like Helvetica.

Universe Roman
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/univers/55-roman/

San Serifs:

Notice, on this site, each font has a year when it was first seen - only shows up with the last link I found. I'm not sure why.
